Second Nature is launching EdenBloc35, a patented, low-density rigid insulation that is suitable for roofs and walls

EdenBloc35 is vapour-permeable and breathable. Additionally, because it binds moisture, thermal performance is claimed not to be significantly affected by fluctuations in humidity and temperature.

It can be used in drylining systems to provide insulation when upgrading existing wall structures as well as insulating stud partitions and timber frame infil and under and between rafters.

The protein fibres used in the boards absorb and “fix” airborne pollutants including formaldehyde, which helps to control levels of indoor air pollutants. The use of natural biopolymer binder eliminates the need for synthetic components, reducing environmental impact.
