Sketch of the week: Mount Pleasant

This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Hannah Smart, now urban design associate at practice West Waddy ADP. It was done in a previous role of Smart’s, at Farrells, and is an early sketch of the Mount Pleasant masterplan in London.

She says: “[The sketch] shows the concept of creating variety and interest through a differing architectural approach applied to a network of linked courtyards. The masterplan sits above the underground ‘Mail Rail’ tunnels and the ‘lost’ River Fleet.”
