This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Scott Boote, an associate at Webb Yates Engineers, and shows details of some design concepts for a private villa. Boote says: “I drew this sketch to communicate our proposals for the main feature roof structure to both the architect and the client.
“They really liked the scissor truss version so we’re now developing this with a variable geometry using parametric design software. The geometry of each truss will be different from its neighbour, giving a really dynamic feeling to the space and accentuating the views.”
