Leicester-based housebuilder says improved profitability driven by efficiencies and improvement in quality of sites
Housebuilder Jelson has returned to profit.
The Leicester-based housebuilder’s parent company Jelson Holdings reported pre-tax profit of £4.7m for the year to 30 April.
This is an improvement on the £1.2m loss reported for the previous year.

The group’s housebuilding pre-tax profit through its Jelson Limited subsidiary was £3.5m compared to a £2.3m loss the previous year.
Jelson said: “Gross margin has improved due to efficiency measures and improvement in quality of sites whilst inflationary pressures remain.”
Jelson’s unit completions dipped by 3% to 320, but its housing sales turnover rose 3%.
The group’s total turnover rose from £107.1m to £112.8m, with its housebuilding revenue rising within that from £73.3 to £75.8m.
