Chief executive of Design for Homes to showcase examples of good and bad design on Building website

David Birkbeck, chief executive of Design for Homes, has launched a series of articles on the Building website that illustrate the good and bad points of housing design through photographs.

In the Decoding the Unexplainable Homes guide Birkbeck will use his housing design expertise to identify the design principles illustrated by each building. The series will showcase examples of housing excellence, as well as cases where design has gone horribly wrong.

To complement the series, readers can upload their own photographs of hideous housing at the “Houses of horror” group on the Building Network: http://network.building.co.uk/group/housesofhorror
