The €750m (£500m) Northern Quarter in Dublin city centre has received planning permission from the council.

Designed by HKR Architects, the retail, residential and hotel complex will stretch from O’Connell Street to Henry Street, Abbey Street and Liffey Street. The open-street complex will include 47 shops, 175 apartments, a 149-bedroom hotel and a flagship Arnotts store.
