Hyder’s East Asian division agrees £3.25m deal for architecture consultancy ACLA.

Hyder Consulting has acquired Asia-based architecture consultancy ACLA for an initial consideration of £3.25m.

Hyder’s East Asian division has agreed a deal with Hong Kong group Jetside Limited for the acquisition of ACLA, a masterplanning and landscape architecture consultancy. ACLA operates primarily in China and Hong Kong, but also has offices in Singapore, Dubai and India.

The deal, scheduled for completion on 26 July 2006, also involves a further payment of up to £2.1m over three years, dependent on future business performance.

ACLA’s turnover for the year to 31 December 2005 was approximately £2m, with pre-tax profits of £0.7m.

Hyder has also issued a trading update, indicating that trading in the first quarter is in line with expectations.
