Kingspan Curvewall architectural exterior insulated wall panels have been used in a student hall of residence in Dundee

Opal 1, the £20.8m, 498-bedroom development at the University of Abertay Dundee, has been clad with 2,000m2 of Kingspan Curvewall in Spectrum Silver. Kingspan says the panels can achieve a Green Guide A+ rating for BREEAM. They have a PIR core that the company says can provide lifetime insulation continuity and air-tightness levels of less than 5m3/hr/m2. Kingspan Curvewall was suggested by external wall envelope specialist Keyclad as an alternative to a built-up system. It was chosen because the panels were easy to handle on the tight construction site.
