Over 12,500m2 of Kingspan access flooring is being installed in the new civic headquarters and customer service centre for York council

The company says its particleboard and steel encapsulated panels were chosen for the new-build element because the access flooring had to be installed over listed floorboards and Kingspan’s particleboard provided a low cost, fit-for-purpose flooring system. The particleboard panels were installed with a finished floor height ranging from 60mm to 150mm, and the finished height of the steel encapsulated panels was 250mm.
