On 14 August 2009 Building published an article entitled “£36m hospital asks M&E engineer to foot bill for faulty floors”

This article stated that the hospital to which the title referred had been forced to close in May when its floors overheated. The article also stated that RW Gregory, which is now part of the RPS Group, had been asked to fund the cost of remedial works relating to the floor.

Building wishes to make it clear that the hospital was not forced to close because it was never formally opened; instead the opening was delayed. We have also been advised by RPS Group that it was not responsible for any faults that may have caused the floor to overheat and that it has not been asked to fund the works.

Building wishes to apologise to the RPS Group for the errors contained in this article.
