A Section 106 agreement is expected to be signed today on Silvertown Quays, the long-awaited £1.5bn mixed-use scheme in east London, close to the Olympic site.

The centrepiece of the scheme is Europe’s largest aquarium designed by Terry Farrell and Partners. The 24ha waterfront site will be developed with about 5,000 homes, 20,000 m2 of retail and commercial space and 18,000 m2 of leisure facilities. The client for the scheme is special purpose company Silvertown Quays Ltd, the London Development Authority and Kajima.
