Firm reports growth across infrastructure and water markets in the UK
Consultant Arcadis, the parent company of EC Harris, has reported continued operating margin of 9% in the first half of 2013, driven by improved UK margins.
The firm reported total revenue of €1.2bn (£1bn) in the six months to 20 June 2013, the same amount it reported over the same period of 2012.
The firm said revenue and margin growth in emerging markets and the UK served to offset declines in revenue and margin in North America and Europe.
It said the infrastructure and water markets in the UK had performed strongly and it forecast further growth in infrastructure and environmental work in the UK.
