Tony Thorne has decided to step down from the board for personal reasons

Design engineering and management consultancy WSP Group plc said its planned next chairman, Tony Thorne, has decided to step down from the board for personal reasons.

David Turner, whom Thorne had been intended to replace as chairman in May, has agreed to stay on while the recruitment process is restarted and until a successor is appointed.
