Consultancy firm expects increase in orders to bring profit boost.

White Young Green says that it is expecting a significant increase in pre-tax profits for the first six months of 2005, thanks in part to the continued success of recent acquisitions. New contract wins now make the Group’s order book worth the equivalent of more than two years’ net turnover. At £230m, this is an increase of 15% on the same time last year.

WYG says that a contract to provide project management, environmental and engineering services for the Univeristy of York’s new campus, and another contract won by its subsidiary IMC Consulting to modernise the municipal administration throughout Syria, worth £6.7m, have contributed to its success.

Further details will be provided when the Group announces its preliminary results on 27 September.
