Jonathan Goring is exiting Laing O’Rourke after taking up the role of head of the firm’s major projects just three months ago.

Goring (pictured) will join Morgan Sindall’s affordable housing division Lovell as managing director in June, replacing the retiring Stewart Davenport.

Goring joined Laing O’Rourke in January. He was previously managing director at Capita Symonds and a project director on four-time Olympic gold medalist Ben Ainslie’s sailing base in Portsmouth.

Morgan Sindall chief executive John Morgan said: “We have been very fortunate in securing a strong successor in Jonathan, and I know he will pick up Stewart’s mantle, and lead the team through the exciting times ahead for Lovell.

“Stewart has done a fantastic job at Lovell and I would like to personally thank him for his dedication to his team and the wider business, support and friendship over the course of the last couple of decades.”

A Laing O’Rourke spokesperson said: “Laing O’Rourke can confirm that Jonathan has notified us of his new appointment and we would like to wish him every success in the next stage of his career.”
