Door lock maker ERA Products has extended its range of locks to include five that meet the needs of disabled people.

These comply with the Disability Discrimination Act, which recommends that the mechanisms on a mortice lock should be 72mm apart to ensure that people with impaired vision or dexterity have unobstructed access to the keyhole. The products are a sashlock, a deadlock, a mortice latch, a bathroom lock and a mortice nightlatch. The company says the range conforms to EN 12209.
