Epworth House in Islington London to get refurbishment

BuckleyGrayYeoman Architects has been granted planning permission for its design for an office refurbishment and extension in Islington, north London.

The design for developer  London & Regional Properties will see the top two floors of Epworth House replaced and the rest of the 1930s building refurbished to create an extra 10,000ft2  of office space.

The exterior of the art deco building will also be restored.

Matt Yeoman, director at BuckleyGrayYeoman Architects, said:  “The challenge was to breathe new life into the building – and its mix of architectural styles – whilst also remaining sensitive to the site’s prominent urban setting.”

Work is due to start on site early next year.
