The 168-home scheme is phase 4b of the seven-phase masterplan for the 3,350-home Grand Union development in north-west London.
The approved proposal will link the social rented homes via new streets to the scheme’s planned Central Park, which will include an amphitheatre, water features and a children’s play area.

Architect on the job is Sheppard Robson which has also designed phases two and three of Grand Union, which Berkley said would deliver more than 1,170 homes (35%) for affordable rent.
Developer St George West, a subsidiary of Berkeley, purchased the site in April 2017. Work began in January 2019 and the first homes, which were 100% affordable, handed over to Brent council at the end of 2021.
