New construction professionals should sign up now for a place at Building’s next networking event featuring Claire McColgan

Networkers at Building’s next Phase One event in Liverpool will be able to put their questions to a woman who’s been instrumental in developing the city’s Capital of Culture programme.

Claire McColgan, Capital of Culture boss

Claire McColgan has been an executive producer at the Liverpool Culture Company since 2000. She produced the opening events for 2008, and designed and managed the public participation programme, which was credited as a major factor in the success of the bid. She also managed Liverpool's 2007 birthday celebrations including the bicentenary of the abolition of slavery. On July 24, McColgan will talk about how she put the programme together, the Culture Company’s ambitions for the city and the role of the built environment in Liverpool’s renaissance.

Building’s Phase One networking evenings are a chance for new professionals in the first few years of their careers to get together and meet others from across the industry. Later in the year, Phase One will hit Edinburgh on September 4, Bristol on October 9 before returning to London for an extra special Christmas event on December 4.

Drinks and food are free but spaces are limited so sign up for future events at Phase One signup.
