Profit at Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios inched up last year on the back of a hike in turnover mostly down to it picking up more work outside the UK.

The practice, which was nominated for last year’s Stirling Prize for its Manchester School of Art scheme, edged operating profits up by just over £100,000 to £2.4 million with revenue up 4% to £11.6 million.

Most of the increase in turnover came from Europe, the Middle East and the US with work here shooting up from £92,000 to more than £450,000.

The highest paid person at the practice, who is not named, picked up just over £137,000.

Among the schemes the practice is working on are the overhaul of the Southbank Centre and the refurbishment of Alexandra Palace – venue of the recent PDC World Darts Championship – in north London.
