Council shortlists developers for 1,400 homes next to new Spurs stadium

Haringey council has shortlisted six developers to deliver 1,400 homes next to Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium.

The six are Barratt, Countryside, Lendlease, Linkcity (part of Bouygues), Stanhope and Taylor Wimpey.

The new £450m neighbourhood named High Road West will link the new White Hart Lane station with the stadium and include a park, restaurants, bars, cafés, library and learning centre and a public amphitheatre to host screenings and community events.

A final decision on the partner will be announced by mid-2017

Earlier this month Haringey shortlisted three developers for a separate major contract to become its partner on a wider £2bn development programme for the borough.

Elephant & Castle developer Lendlease is on the list along with a pairing between Morgan Sindall and housing association Affinity Sutton. The third team comprises housing groups Circle Pinnacle, Catalyst and US finance firm Starwood Capital.
