Dutch consultancy Grontmij has bought a controlling share in French engineer Ginger, making it the fourth largest engineering consultancy in Europe

Grontmij bought a 52% stake in Ginger, the second biggest engineer in France, last month. Earlier this week it purchased a further 16%, giving it a controlling stake.

The deal creates a consultancy with combined revenues of £915m and 11,000 workers. Its key markets are the Netherlands, France, the UK, Denmark, Sweden, Germany and Poland.
