Scheme being developed by shopping centre owner Derbion

Shopping centre owner Derbion has been given planning from Derby city council for the final phase of a 1,150-home masterplan.

The scheme has been broken into two plots – the former Eagle Market, given approval last week, where Derbion is looking at 674 homes across six buildings while a further 478 homes will be built on the Bradshaw Way Retail Park site, including a new 14-storey resi tower, which was approved last autumn.

How the Eagle Quarter plot will look

Derbion said Eagle Quarter will “integrate” with the shopping centre’s Derbion Square, with Derby theatre as the neighbourhood’s focal point.

The Derbion masterplan was designed by Leonard Design Architects with other consultants on the team including planner Lichfields as well as Currie & Brown, Bidwells and Waterman.
