Dulux Trade has launched an extension to its Pyroshield flame-retardant range, which protects walls and ceilings and minimises flame spread in a fire

Dulux Trade Pyroshield Durable Matt is a water-based flame-retardant upgrade system that can be applied directly to walls and ceilings covered in layers of potentially flammable paint. It will enhance the flame-retardant performance of these surfaces from Class 3 (BS476 part 7) to Class O in just two coats, claims the company.

Flame-retardant coatings such as the Pyroshield system help reduce the rate of fire spread, helping buildings meet fire classification requirements and comply with Building Regulations. The paint comes in a wide range of colours.
