Cavity Trays has launched the Cavi 60 SAF Stop, a multipurpose cavity barrier that provides acoustic, fire barrier and water-deflecting qualities.
It is made out of non-combustible rock wool – the Cavi 60 prefix denotes a 60-minute fire barrier – and is profiled and encapsulated within a polythene sleeve. The sloping upper surface of the barrier deflects penetrating water forward towards the outer leaf and the lower sloping surface permits lengths to be lapped, maintaining the barrier at all times. Cavi 60 SAF comes in sizes to suit cavities of 100mm up to 150mm and in various lengths.
