Waterproofing specialist Axter has introduced Hydropack, a sedum green roof system that is supplied fully grown.

The company claims any specialist horticultural experience is not required to install the system. The sedum is supplied in pre-planted modular trays measuring 600 × 400 × 90mm. Axter says it can be laid onto most waterproofing decks – reinforced bitumen membranes, mastic asphalt, single-ply roofing and some metal and standing seam profiles. It also says it is suitable for flat and sloping roofs exposed to strong winds. The Hydropack encompasses all the elements of a green roof system: drainage, filter, substrate and plant material.
