Curious to know how the Thames Gateway will look when it’s all finished? Well if you feel like going to Ashford in Kent, there’s a model already built. And if you don’t, don’t worry, Chloë McCulloch’s already been and she took her camera

Modelling specialist Pipers Fooks’ miniature Thames Gateway is the biggest architectural model ever built in the UK. When we visited, a 12-strong team were busy creating 1:3,000 scale walnut buildings and foam trees in time for next week’s Thames Gateway Forum.

The Thames Gateway Forum takes place on 28-29 November. For more details go to www.thamesgatewayforum.co.uk. Go to www.pipersfooks.co.uk if you have a scheme to add to the model
